Silver The Hedgehog

Made by Jazzwares

Jazzwares has always been an underrated company. but they do really deliver cool sets of toys. one of which is this Silver The Hedgehog from the 1991 Sega videogame Sonic The Hedgehog.

While it lacks in size (stands aprox. 3.75 inches) it makes up with i's overall appearance, articulation is great (14points) considering its a joe-esque size, so as the paint, and the sculp is really fantastic! captures comically the character.

With it's wide articulation gives it decent poses. hands are fixed in an open position though.

Comes with a generic, and a non-sense black stand?

Family Guy TV Talkers

Made By Excalibur Electronics
Released in 2006

Another of the many coolest buys i had is this couch pal Stewie and Brian Griffin, from one of my favorite family cartoon show Family guy. Though Family Guy is not Simpsons but they deliver in comedic jokes and humorous insights.

You see yourself watching TV all alone and you feel lonely. Just Put this in front of your TV, hit the remote (change channel, volume, etc.). and instantaneously you get a classic Family Guy ranting! And Yep! it works on your remote control!

Says over 30 Family Guy Quotes from Stewie and Brian. (their real voices ofcourse) triggered from this small hole.

The whole item is made up of a hard plastic like-rotocast type but feels solid. Articulation is quite lame as it only have two points each figure, head and body movement, limited articulation is understandable though as this pose not as a toy but rather a display-tv-companion. paint is somehow fair but the sculpt is fantastic! as if this was taken from a real live episode.

From the sarcastic comments of Brian, to the end-of the world plots of Stewie, you would definitely not just get entertained with what you're watching, but you would also pay attention to the classic quotes this two has to offer.

Zandar (V2)

Zandar version 2
Gi Joe 30th Anniversary
Released in 2011 as part of the Dreadnoks Battle Set

Greatly Re-issued by Hasbro with fine details and accessories,,

Great touch on the removable upper clothing that reveals his thunder-tattoo. though the pink neckerchief is really questionable though. ;)

Comes with a Harpoon Gun, knife, pistol, crossbow, neckerchief removable holster, filecard and a generic black stand.

Side by side with his Co-Dreadnok Road Pig

Over all Zandar is packed with everything you expect a Gi Joe should have. A questionable taste in clothing but deadly weapon accessories.

GI Joe Modern

Modern Era Gi Joe

From 25th to 30th Anniversary line. Greatly enhanced and Re-Issued.

Road Pig (V4)

Road Pig version 4
Gi Joe 30th Anniversary
Released in 2011 as part of the Dreadnoks Battle Set

When i see this figure, a part of my childhood memory recalls a bad ass figure that i once enjoyed playing and seeing in the Joe line then.

This obviously is a well enhanced version of it. from the body mold and details to the accessories are really tremendous!

Comes with a removable shoulder pads, a sword, an impressive cinderblock hammer and shield that somehow taken from a street sign that reads "Alligator Alley" that perfectly makes sense, a black stand and his filecard.

you gotta love that Mjolnir-like Hammer!

Details such as the body tattoo is really great! reveals when you remove the shoulder pads, hooray for hasbro..

Fits perfectly with other 3.75 figures.

Thor (Giant Man)

Thor

Marvel Legends Giant Man Series
released by Toybiz in 2006

One of the hardest figure that can be acquired locally is this almost perfect version of The God of Thunder-Thor.

Hard to acquire because this series was not released locally, and one of the many figures that the local distributor here in the Philippines failed to import.

I have to get mine loose, and up to now i still don't have the Giant Man BAF for this wave.

Back to Thor, the body is a new mold, with great attention to the details, the head/face part was sculpted and painted beautifully, they even got the wing on the head and circles in the body right. Comes in his Tiger Stripe boots. (Base is from the Series 3 Thor)

As for the accessories,,, in lack of better words.. WOW! MJOLNIR was given the proper respect he deserves and  sculpted with asgardian words that Odin said. The Asgardian words should translated says, "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall posses the power of Thor". and obviously even with the encryption this doesn't.. It Fits perfectly in his hands and looks really cool specially with the base of the series 3 Thor.

This Thor would have been perfect if not for the size comparison with other avengers, He falls a little shorter as Thor should have been taller and bulkier, a first appearance though seems fit for this figure.

With how this figure price range and how he comes really rare this day, a perfect figure for any God of Thunder - Thor fan.
